I believe the best way to work with scars is in stages:

IMMEDIATELY AFTER: It’s important to leave the scar alone for a while – no touching, no bandages. In Dutch medicine, this is a standard practice, while in some regions, scars are still covered for the first 7-10 days.

ONCE THE SCAR HAS CLOSED, you can start using Contractubex – a treatment that helps prevent excessive scarring, speeds up healing, soothes the skin, and reduces swelling.

AND HERE COMES THE MOST EXCITING PART: Studies suggest that Lugol’s solution (iodine, usually in glycerin) can significantly enhance tissue regeneration. It’s a slow process – typically about a year of daily application – but after that, scars disappear completely, making it impossible to tell the previously damaged skin from healthy skin.
HEALING FROM WITHIN
- Eat foods rich in healthy fats: avocado, nuts, fatty fish, etc.
- Vitamin C, preferably in the form of sodium ascorbate.
- Silicon supplements, such as Bio-Sil.
